Jail is the Best Thing That Could Happen to Lindsey Lohan

Lindsay Lohan luck ran out in court after her long and emotional DUI probation violation hearing, in which the judge sentenced the starlet to 90 days in jail, followed by a 90-day stint in an inpatient rehab facility. Although she cried in the courtroom, a long-time friend of Lindsay tells OK! this is the best thing that could have happened to her.

“This has been a long ti me coming,” Lindsay’s friend tells OK!. “I, and a lot of her friends, well former friends, have stood by her side, despite her [being in] denial, and now the legal system can help us all out.”Will jail be good for her?God, you hate to say that,” the friend admits. “You hate to believe it.”

“But in the 12-step programs they say when you keep on the path that Lindsay has been on for so long, the results can only be one of three things. Jail, death, or the insane asylum,” Lindsay’s friend explains to OK!. “So in that sense, jail is definitely the best thing that could happen to her right now.”
